St Benet Paul's Wharf: the Reverend Aneirin Glyn, Curate at St Helen's Bishopsgate, has been appointed priest in charge of St Benet's church (left), for centuries the heralds' church, as well as the Welsh church for London. He was formally installed by The Right Reverend Richard Chartres, Bishop of London, in a service on 2 October 2011. Details of services at the church, including those in Welsh, may be seen 
Illustrated right are the Arms lately granted to Wendy MEAD, of the London Borough of Hackney, Sheriff of the City of London, by Letters Patent of Garter and Clarenceux Kings of Arms dated 30 March 2011.
He sought therefore a confirmation of the Arms and the grant of a Crest by Letters Patent of 1 December 1762, the Arms to include a "memorial of his Gratitude to Heaven, for his wonderful Deliverance with the few that survived the dreadful Confinement and Suffocation in the Black Hole Prison in Fort William at Calcutta". The patent includes a lengthy recital of Holwell's version of events during the siege of Fort William, culminating in the imprisonment during the night of 20 June 1756.
